The Maria Buchinger Foundation<\/h3>\n

The Maria Buchinger Foundation was established in 2011 to continue the work of Maria Buchinger (1916 \u2013 2010) and her husband Helmut Wilhelmi. Dr. Otto Buchinger\u2019s daughter founded the Buchinger clinics in \u00dcberlingen and Marbella together with her husband and dedicated her life to continuously advancing the therapeutic fasting method and making it known around the world with great success. She recognized the importance of the communal aspects of fasting and put these at the centre of her work.<\/p>\n

The goal of the foundation is to support scientific research on the topic of therapeutic fasting.<\/p>\n

With the help of donations and contributions, the foundation works to promote research in fasting therapy in collaboration with universities and other research institutes.<\/p>\n

It achieves this goal in particular by<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Awarding and funding research projects on fasting, natural and sustainable nutrition as well as topics relating to integrative medicine<\/li>\n
