ART WEEKS WITH URSULA ERCHINGER & JOANA KLAKLA – ÜBERLINGEN
Creative expression at the Buchinger Wilhelmi Clinic
Experience pure creative inspiration during the Art Weeks at the Buchinger Wilhelmi Clinic – a unique studio experience led by the independent artists Joanna Klakla and Ursula Erchinger. Four times a year, this special programme offers the opportunity to unfold creatively in a supportive and inspiring environment. Each day, the studio opens its doors for three hours, inviting you to create at your own pace. Immerse yourself in a space filled with artistic ideas and let your imagination flow freely.
Each Art Week explores a distinct creative theme: from Growing Plants in spring to radiant Summer Lights in summer, All About Colours in autumn, and Celestial Inspiration during the Christmas season. Discover how each week offers its own unique impulses for your artistic journey.
Growing Plants
The spring Art Week focuses on the theme Growing Plants. Plant growth is explored as a symbol of natural processes in art, nature and the human body. Inspired by the diversity of shapes, colours and structures found in plants, we delve deeply into the creative process. Using acrylic, gouache and oil painting, as well as drawing with pastel, charcoal and ink, we experiment with layers of colour, textures and plant prints. The result is an organic, intuitive creative process shaped by transformation and development. As we capture the growth of plants, we also reflect on our own inner transformation. The interplay between individual creativity and group dynamics fosters artistic growth and forms a beautiful parallel to the regenerative processes that fasting initiates in both body and mind.
Summer Lights
The summer Art Week is dedicated entirely to the magic of light and colour. During this week, we experiment with painting, drawing and collage to capture the warm, golden light of summer. Participants are encouraged to play with light and shadow and to reflect the luminous tones of the season in their work. Much like fasting, this focus sharpens the senses and reveals subtle nuances of summer that often go unnoticed. Joanna Klakla and Ursula Erchinger guide you throughout the week, sharing their expertise and ensuring you leave the workshop enriched with new ideas and inspiration.
All about Colours
Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of colour and experience its impact both on the canvas and within yourself. This Art Week centres on pigments, painting techniques and creative colour composition. In harmony with the fasting philosophy, which renews the body, this creative space also offers a spiritual dimension: an opportunity to rediscover yourself, clear the mind and find inspiration in emerging colours and forms. The spacious, well-equipped studio is open seven days a week for three hours each day. Let the power of colour guide you on a journey of renewal and inspiration.
Celestial Inspiration
In the special atmosphere of the Christmas season, the Celestial Inspiration Art Week invites you to a contemplative and creative retreat. Gaze into the night sky: star-filled landscapes, the glow of twilight and fascinating celestial phenomena inspire new works of art. Under the guidance of Joanna Klakla and Ursula Erchinger, you will explore creative experiments using monotype printing, painting and drawing. There is ample space to realise personal projects and develop your own artistic expression. Experience a magical time of creative unfolding and inner renewal, a journey to the stars that enriches both your art and your spirit.
Space for experimentation and creative growth
This Art Week focuses on playfully experimenting with different techniques and materials. Without pressure and far away from everyday life, you can let your imagination run wild. The creative atmosphere allows you to realise your own art projects while also experiencing inner reflection. Every exercise, every brushstroke and every print not only advances your artistic skills, but also promotes your personal development. During these seven days, an almost magical atmosphere emerges: creative development and inner renewal go hand in hand – a journey to the stars that enriches both your art and your spirit.
