Woodcarving Workshop: “Queens and Kings of Dignity”

We warmly invite you to join this six-day woodcarving workshop, a time dedicated to creativity, mindfulness, and inner reflection. In a calm and focused atmosphere, you will have the opportunity to work with wood, slow down, and discover your own creative expression.
Inspired by the royal figures created by the German artist Ralf Knoblauch from Bonn, participants will carve their own wooden queens and kings during these shared days. These figures symbolize the inherent dignity of every human being and remind us that each person, regardless of their circumstances, possesses a unique and inviolable value.
The workshop takes place over six days, with one daily session of approximately 90 minutes.
Each session follows a clear yet open structure:
- A short spiritual reflection to begin in stillness and presence.
- Woodcarving work on your own queens and kings.
- Time for reflection on experiences, thoughts, and inner processes.
Working with wood offers a unique way of deepening one’s awareness and perception. Through a slow and mindful creative process, a sense of presence and concentration emerges. From a simple piece of wood, individual figures take shape and can give expression to inner themes and experiences. The focus is not on technical perfection, but on personal expression, mindful attention, and trust in your own creative journey.
The workshop is accompanied by Klaus Gross, who will guide participants through this special time with experience, calmness, and sensitivity.
