ORGANIC FOOD PRODUCTION

The Greenhouse Regenerative Lab in Marbella

As an integral part of Buchinger Wilhelmi’s holistic approach to health, the Amplius Regenerative Food (ARF) project is dedicated to building a sustainable food system that delivers high-quality, organic produce while fostering ecological and social responsibility. As the proud steward of a 6.000 m² greenhouse, we cultivate produce that is 96% organic, ensuring that the food we serve our patients is both fresh and of the highest standard.

As part of the ARF project, the Greenhouse Regenerative Lab (GRL) set up by the Fundacion Arboretum functions both as a hub for organic food production and a centre for research, innovation, and empowerment. Buchinger Wilhelmi supports this project by managing the entire production process in-house — from cutting to washing the produce. We maintain rigorous quality controls and optimize crop yields year-round, taking full advantage of the micro-seasons (smaller but significant changes in the rhythm of nature).

An important goal of the greenhouse is to support patients as they gradually readapt after fasting and enhance their well-being by enriching the flavours of the produce. This blend of sustainability, quality control, and patient care embodies our commitment to delivering top-tier organic products while fostering a strong, health-focused community.

Community and regional partnerships

ARF represents Buchinger Wilhelmi's commitment to providing healthy, seasonal and ethically sourced food. By building relationships with local producers, we promote ecological awareness and a healthy lifestyle. Our work with ten local farmers who together produce 140,000 kg of vegetables annually within a 30 km radius of the clinic significantly reduces CO2 emissions and supports the regional economy.

Living from the land

Health begins in the soil. Our agricultural business respects natural cycles, cultivating local varieties without synthetic chemicals or genetically modified organisms. The result is fresh, healthy, and ecological products that benefit both the land and the community.

Nutrition and health

Using these premium ingredients, our nutritional experts craft dishes packed with flavour and nutritional value. Our research and development team develops innovative approaches to enhance our dishes and adapt them to the seasons.

Kitchen philosophy

Our kitchen team of over 20 chefs transforms nature’s bounty into culinary delicacies, preparing more than 100 new dishes every year. Each meal reflects ARF's values of sustainability, care, and ethics. But as each cycle of growth and season unfolds, our mission goes beyond providing food; it is also about fostering a lifestyle centred on health, responsibility, and community. Every meal our patients enjoy at our clinic in Marbella supports the philosophy of ARF. We hope they make these principles part of their day-to-day life long after their stay.
